New Lynnwood Station garage to open for parking

Monday, April 17, Sound Transit will opened the new parking garage at the Lynnwood Transit Center to serve current transit riders and future Link light rail riders. The new garage contains 1,670 parking stalls in a five-story structure. Along with adjacent surface lots containing 226 stalls, the Lynnwood City Center Station has nearly 1,900 parking stalls, approximately 500 more than those on the current transit center site.

Nightly lane reductions are planned Sundays through Thursdays, starting Sunday, March 12, through Thursday, March 30. Sunday night work hours are 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Weeknight work hours are 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. All westbound lanes will be open on Friday and Saturday nights.

From King County Metro: King County Metro is scheduled to close the Houghton Park-and-Ride on March 18, 2023, due to low utilization. Based on observations, about five vehicles park at this location to regularly access transit, about 3 percent of the 470-vehicle parking lot.

From Sound Transit:  ORCA, the Puget Sound’s all-in-one transit card is now available for purchase and reloading at more stores. Beginning this month with the addition of Fred Meyer, more stores will be added on an ongoing basis, eventually doubling the number of locations and adding more availability at locally owned businesses.
