From King County Metro: Trailhead Direct, King County’s transit-to-trails service, will begin its seventh season on Saturday, May 25. Trailhead Direct is operated by King County Metro in partnership with King County Parks, the Seattle Department of Transportation, and promotional support from Amazon.

Speeding on local streets is the top concern heard from residents about traffic safety in Bellevue. In response to these concerns, the City of Bellevue is considering lowering the speed limit on most local streets from 25 mph to 20 mph. Local streets are streets that primarily provide access within neighborhoods and carry local traffic to collector arterials.
Celebrate and ride the 2 Line on Saturday, April 27

Sound Transit invites the community to the 2 Line Opening Celebration on Saturday, April 27. A full day of activities will kick-off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony with local and regional leaders at the Downtown Bellevue station at 10 a.m. Following the ribbon-cutting, the first trains will be available to ride at each station at approximately 11 a.m.
$6.6 million state funding for Mountains to Sound Greenway in Bellevue

The state Legislature has allocated $6.6 million in its 2023-25 supplemental transportation budget for construction of another key segment of the Mountains to Sound Greenway Trail in Bellevue, between 142nd Place Southeast and 150th Avenue Southeast.
