BelRed Project Update: Construction begins on Oct. 7

Posted on Oct 01, 2019

The city’s contractor, Interwest Construction, begins work on the NE Spring Boulevard Multi-modal Corridor (120th Ave NE to 124th Ave NE) project in early October. We recognize construction can impact nearby properties and the traveling public and encourage you to stay informed. In addition to this subscription alert, you may want to subscribe to receive weekly traffic alerts. Please visit our Traffic Advisories web page to sign up.

The contractor’s early work will include clearing, grading and utility installation.  Starting around the second week of October, there will be periodic lane closures of 120th Avenue NE at Spring Boulevard. Additionally, the intersection with 124th Avenue NE will be closed for up to 12 weekends in coordination with the city’s 124th Avenue NE Corridor improvement project.

We recognize that the BelRed area is experiencing unprecedented public and private development which will continue into the next few years. Much of the city’s improvements were planned in coordination with the East Link light rail which begins service in 2023.
